Climate Change Effect: Correlation between U.S average temperature change and CO2 emissions
Meet the Team
Problem Statement
Climate Change is something that isn’t being given as much attention to in the United States. Our group’s intention is to analyse the change in average temperature here, along with the change in CO2 emissions and try to find a correlation.
3 Questions to answer
-
Q1.
Is there a correlation between CO2 emissions and average temperature change in the United States?
-
Q2.
What is the hottest year? Does the hottest year also have the most CO2 emissions?
-
Q3.
Where do most CO2 emissions come from? (ie. liquid fuel gas consumption, transport, residential buildings)

Reflection.
From this project, I learned a new programming language R, and also learned to create a Shiny app. This project introduced me to a whole new world with data - data wrangling, data visualization, building statics and interactive visualization, APIs, and finally the web application.
It brought my dream of making and designing a web app one step closer to realization.
